ENTRANCE GATE INFORMATION
Bay Forest Entrance Gate Keypad
There seems to be a lot of confusion and misunderstanding about the use of the Entrance Gate Keypad. I have attached a document that will show pictorially how to operate the keypad. Print this out and tape it on your refrigerator! Some key points are as follows:
All owners must be registered in the office. You are given a four digit Entry Code, and also asked which phone number you want used. It can be either a landline or a cell phone. Give out this code only to trusted friends and relatives - never to delivery people!
This phone number is never shown to anyone on the screen.
You are also given a four digit Directory Code. This code is used to call the registered phone number. By itself, it will not open the gate - it will only call the phone number. This code is good to give to delivery people, as it avoids them having to scroll up or down to find your name on the keypad, and saves time. This code can be freely given out to anyone, as using it only calls your phone, and does not by itself open the gate. If you have forgotten your Directory Code, you can look yourself on the keypad by finding your name - this code is to the right of your name. You can also call the office for this code.
For the system to operate, you must call the registered phone number using the keypad. If you call them directly from your cell phone, they will not be able to open the gate by pushing 9.
New Website Users
First time users to this WEBSITE must register first in order to see the private portions of the site. Once registered, all you have to do is use the login button. You must be a registered deeded homeowner to access the private sections. Approvals are granted during regular business hours. If you happen to request a password in the evening hours or over the weekend it will be processed the next business day.
